About Habitat

Eliminating poverty housing, changing lives, one family at a time.

Habitat For Humanity of Montrose County became an affiliate in July 1991.  We will have constructed 40  Habitat homes by the end of 2010. The Summer of 2010 we begin reaching out to serve more families in our community through a program called “A Brush with Kindness”.  We will begin doing exterior fix up for low income families, painting, minor repairs and yard work.  More will be added to the website in the near future.

Habitat’s board consists of  18 board members, with four members as part of an executive board.  Refer to our Habitat board and staff section, to get a glimpse of who they are.

Quarterly we issue a newsletter that goes out to nearly 1000 persons.  We have a facebook page and current blog site and welcome your comments and ideas.

Please check out our committee section, We welcome all who wish to help us in our mission to  serve on a committee.

Thank you for your interest in Habitat for Humanity of Montrose County.
