We are currently building three homes simu
ltaneously for 2010. The families have been selected and these will be the last three homes for the Mesa Vista Habitat subdivision.
There are plenty of volunteer opportunities.
Beginning this year we will get a Neighborhood Revitalization program entitled “A Brush with Kindness” off the ground. This program will allow us to partner in the community with others. It consist of painting the exterior of low income homeowners homes and doing minor repair work, as well as cleaning up their property around their homes. It allow volunteers an opportunity to do something for someone besides new construction. This program in consistency with the Habitat Mission is not a hand-out but a hand up. The homeowner will have to meet certain criteria.
