Build Days
Habitat for Humanity of Montrose County holds several special build events throughout the year. In fact we see our builds as our major events. Rather than buying a table at a Gala, we encourage you to sponsor a build day for your team to participate in the best experience of their lives!
These build days occur on Saturdays, and usually run from 7:15 am to 4 pm. Build days are FREE, fun, easy ways to get involved with Habitat – we provide breakfast, lunch, and transportation to the build site. And perhaps the most rewarding part of build days: meeting the homeowners, the families that will live in the house that you are helping to build!
Volunteers from all over Montrose County have worked on houses in all stages of construction, from nailing in wall frames to painting to digging trenches for plumbing pipes to installing insulation to installing electrical wiring. No experience is required! We are always welcoming new volunteers.
