To scedule a time to come as an individual or organization contact Bill Bond at 970-901-9576.
In the spring of 2010 we began pouring the foundation for the final three homes in this subdivision. We encourage and appreciate all companies and organizations that help further our mission. Click on this to view our COMPANY BUILD BROCHURE (PDF)
Frequently Asked Volunteer Questions
Do I need to have construction skills? We do not require that you have any prior experience in building. We do require a willingness to learn and to work. We will teach you everything you need to know. A benefit to volunteering with Habitat is that you will walk away having learned a ton of new skills.
What is the time commitment asked of volunteers?
We do not require any time commitments. We can guarantee that you will have so much fun that you will want to come back as often as your schedule allows.
What do I need to bring with me when I volunteer at the construction site?
Nothing! We provide all of the tools, materials, hardhats and safety items needed to complete a task. We encourage you to bring a water bottle, but it is not required.
What should I wear?
Both the construction site and the ReStore can be dirty. We encourage you to wear clothes that you won’t be upset if they get a little dirty. We also ask that you wear sturdy, closed toe shoes. We cannot allow flip-flops and sandals on the site.
The volunteer scheduling page says 9am to 3pm, does that mean I have to start and stay till 3pm?
No. The hours on the volunteer scheduling site are the hours of operation. You can come any time and stay as long as you can.
What if I’m doing community service for school or for the courts?
We will get you a time-sheet that you will be responsible for tracking your hours and getting it signed on each day that you work.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We will e-mail or call you as soon as we decide to cancel. For the most part, we work rain, snow or shine. Call us if you do not feel comfortable volunteering because of weather conditions
